Heads Up--right now on C_Span
very important Discussion Trade Policy. Please check it out if you have time. some are seriously questioning our trade policies. We will be a 3rd world country within 29 years. MFg is practically gone. Now Radiolgists are reading our MRIs in India. Now High Value Jobs are on the way out.

2. I think it was Paul Craig Roberts. It was sobering.
Basically, I think he was saying there is an imbalance between wages and profit that throws things out of wack, and that this isn't free trade. Sen.Schumer said it could come to a general lowering of U.S. standard of living and a raise in the world wide standard. But we would still be worse off. Roberts said kids in college don't see a future in engineering and colleges are seeing a drop off in students taking engineering classes.

The moderator and other speakers thanked Roberts and Schumer for having the forum. No one looked happy...just glum.

So, maybe George and Co. are trying to take over the world and its markets so when the hard times come there will just be one big market. Is there any logic in this? Roberts did mention we will need to build common cause with other countries, perhaps even one government. But I don't think he meant an imperial government.
