Seattle P-I: "Now do good"
This will be tomorrows Editorial in the Seattle P-I. They endorsed John Kerry.

"Democrats have lost an election in a fashion that argues for the most sober of reassessments. They have to reconnect with Middle America on the economy, health care and the social safety net. Give Ralph Nader this much credit: Democrats must abandon some of their Clinton-era coziness with corporate America, money managers and Wall Street if they want the middle class to look at their party as the one to improve living conditions broadly.

But the election defeat offers no reason for Democrats to waver on convictions. Even as Democrats look for opportunities to work constructively with Republicans, the bare-minority party has solemn responsibilities to its beliefs, its supporters and the nation. The quality of discourse improves when ideas compete for worthiness.

To some degree, the quality of leadership from the White House will determine how fiercely the political debate continues in the months ahead. But, win or lose, Democrats must advocate their views forcefully and clearly through whatever lies between now and future congressional and presidential elections."

I am proud of my vote for John Kerry. I will not ever give up.
