"Hurricane George" and "Bush Divides Nation" 2 great letters in our paper.
This letter was written by a dear friend of mine, a fellow DFA supporter, and one who has a way with words. He is a Republican, but he no longer supports his party as it is. He has stayed to vote Democratic because of Howard Dean and his passion.

On the question of Why Iraq:
SNIP..."Was it because Iraq was an easy kill, a wounded deer, whose military -- following its depletion from the Gulf War, embargoes, sanctions and inspections -was simply too anemic to muster any kind of defense? Iraq allowed Bush to don a military uniform, beat his chest over the slain deer, and proclaim himself, "a war president."

Kerry weak? This is a man who changed the tactics of war in Vietnam by turning his Swift Boat directly into enemy fire coming from the shore and take the attack to the enemy...."

SNIP..."On the other hand, we've all seen the pictures of George W. Bush standing for seven minutes in a Sarasota classroom as a quivering mass of indecision, and followed him for the next several hours as he tried to find a safe place to hide. Shreveport? No. Barksdale might be a target. Stay in the air? No. Air Force One might be a target. How about Omaha?

Bush has misdirected our focus, our spirit, our verve, our military, our financial resources and our dedication against terrorism to his own selfish greed, with little, if any, regard to Osama bin Laden and the impending terrorist plot against our country...."

SNIP..."One has to wonder, could that same $200 billion have been put to better use in the weather-ravaged East Coast of the United States?

Food for thought, America. Can we really afford the actions of Hurricane George Bush?..."

2. There are many like that here.
This guy gets more letters printed than I do, and I get a lot printed. Our DFA group here is quite good at doing that.

He and his wife are powerful writers, great in drama, were drama majors at the same university I attended long ago.

Make no mistake, it was Howard Dean that drew them to the Democratic Party. They make no secret of it either.

Another score for Dean and all that he did and is doing to help us beat back the monsters.
