Too many states making it harder to vote
http://www.gosanangelo.com/news/2011/dec/10/ann-mcfeatters-too-many-states-making-it-harder/

Thousands of people who have been voting for years and college students eager to vote will find themselves shut out next year.

(snip)
Julian Bond of the NAACP says that older blacks who were born during segregation in the South may not have a birth certificate and even though they may have been voting for years will be denied their right to vote next year.

Rock the Vote, which works to get young people registered, says the new laws will keep thousands of students from voting and believes it is because they tend to be liberal.

(snip)
How ironic that as the United States demands democracy and free elections around the world, politicians here are trying to tamp down voting in America.

1. Why will these new laws keep younger voters from voting?
AI agree with you on many seniors and I will certainly do anything I can to help those folks to be able to vote as they've done for years, but I'm having a hard time understanding why the young voters will have a problem.

5. Precisely. Here in NH, our Loon Speaker-of-the-House explicitly stated that...
...he didn't want students voting because they
vote for the liberals.

6. My daughter voted absentee ballot
when she went to school in Maine and also when she went to school in upstate NY. She changed schools and states, so it really was easier to keep her permanent address on LI and just get absentee ballots. Blame ME because I told her to do this.

4. It would require college students to vote in their home town
instead of where they attend college. Sleepy Holder should be kicking ass in every one of these states, but he's too busy busting medical mj users.
