U.S. Spy Aircraft(Drones) Kill 775 Civilians In Pakistan: Report
ISLAMABAD, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. spy planes have killed up to 775 civilians, including 173 children, in 300 strikes in Pakistan tribal regions since the strikes had been started in June 2004, a report has said.

The report released Saturday by the London-based Bureau of Investigative Journalism said between 1,141 and 1,225 persons were also injured the strikes, mostly in Waziristan tribal areas near the Afghan border.

The report, quoted by the Dawn newspaper, has mentioned varying figures about the casualties in the attacks as it said that at least 2,318 people and a maximum of 2,912 people, the majority of them alleged militants, have been killed in these attacks.

Of the 300 drone strikes since June 17, 2004, it said, 248 occurred during President Barack Obama's first three years, rising to a frequency of almost one strike every four days.

7. Yes, and hardly a peep from the 'left' which is just shameful.
Each of those lives was precious, but here in the US no one even mentions them. We need photos. At least during the Bush administration, there were people like Dahr Jamail documenting the horrific slaughter of Iraq's children and other innocents, even if his photos never made it to the MSM. These are crimes of great magnitude and the American people are silent. History will not be kind to those responsible, or to anyone who did not even raise an objection, and especially those who fell silent because of the letter after the President's name.

 Beautiful innocent lives, gone, for power and greed. It IS murder, nothing else and there are no excuses.

8. Our actions have had horrific consequences and no accountability.
That worries me the most, why should they change course, who/what will make them stop?

9. No one in power will do it. I'm sure there are some who want to
but they apparently can't. So now it's up to the people to create the changes necessary to start the process of ridding the government of those who have shamed this country and done so much harm. I don't know if it's possible, but at least now people are trying.

11. We will, eventually come to terms with the fact that every drone has a responsible human
And the murder of these 173 children is on the heads of very specific individuals, who have exactly the same responsibility as if they had killed with a bomb from a plane, or with a bayonet.

If you're ordered to kill inappropriately, you're expected to kill your commander, or be executed, before obeying the order. Or so Nuremberg held, at least for humans. Willful subhumanity is always an option.
