"Moody's Analytics concluded that few government stimulus programs did more for the economy than extending jobless benefits. Every $1 in benefits generated $1.61 in economic growth. "

Republicans want to make the Bush tax cuts permanent - without paying for them! Moody's indicates for the Bush tax cuts, for every dollar of tax revenues foregone you get $.32 worth of economic growth ... That's a LOSS of $.68 for every dollar (or a loss of 68%)!

2. I have been posting this for years. Moody's graphs are great.
This is THE reason repigs will NEVER have a balanced budget. Their 'ideology' forces them to spend money on things that do not bring anything in return. Their policies don't help real people, they don't do the country as a whole ANY good. Only a select few benefit in any way. As a result, they are forced to lie repeatedly about the effectiveness of their ideas.

3. Which is why the Republicans won't allow it till after November.
They WANT the economy to tank. The last thing they need is for life to seem rosy before this election.
