"The building is not guilty ". Iraqis hostile over plan to raze prison.
"The building is not guilty," said Mahmud Othman, a Kurdish member of the Governing Council.

"The building has nothing to do with the crimes. If it was turned into a museum or monument so people do not forget the crimes committed by Saddam Hussein, that would be a better idea."

1. Exactly.
Bush want's it bulldozed so that any future museum doesn't include a room dedicated to the horrors perpetrated by the U.S. under his direction.

2. YES!!!
They are absolutely right. This is just a waste and a super lame attempt to cover up. "We give the building meaning by how we use it." so let's start using it right, and the best start is by releasing non-dangerous prisoners.

4. Kerry needs to say this in a debate, "The building is not guilty."
and then others can follow up with "The building is not guilty - but Bush is."

7. Yes you're probably right to be concerned.
In all honesty people should be reflecting on their emergency plans. Its important not to be too anxious but without planning you can be up a creek. If you are going to take these warnings seriously make sure you have cash on hand in case power is affected and the banking system shuts down.

8. Who the hell are we to tell them we will "tear down" their prison, anyway?
Why didn't we let THEM tear down the Saddam statue? The Bushies treat people like they are children to be told what to do and when to do it.

I'm glad they are against tearing it down. They should open it and charge admission. It would be a good example of a "holocaust" museum given what Saddam and We have done there. A memorial against torture and attrocities.
