Republicans filibuster bill to fund American troops in Afghanistan and Iraq

Republicans are playing politics as usual. Republican are using delay tactics to filibuster the vote on funding U.S. troops overseas in an effort to delay a health care reform bill vote.

Republicans' answer to health care is to either maintain the status quo and let people have "health savings accounts." The problem with both of those answers is that people who can't afford health insurance can't afford health savings accounts and to maintain the status quo means that 45 million people will keep flooding emergency rooms when they're sick and the rest of us will have to pay for it.

1. The smart thing to do would be gather all of their actions on the

issue of funding the troops, save it and use it against them every time they turn around. I mean ads on TV, banners on web sites, EVERYWHERE.

That will at least keep them from gaining any popularity between now and 2010 and 2012, while we decide how we are going to get the Democrats to start representing us better.

That would be the smart thing to do. I don't hold much faith in our party leaders at this point to see that or use that advice though. :eyes:
