Abhorrent. bush who uses colloquial English used a large word, instead of using: detest, despise, horrible, ugly.

Abhorrent: Sounds as if bush was trying to be Shakespearanesk. I can't find it in the Bible, but abhor is used in the Bible when Jesus saw the sins of Lot and wife...when they were turned to salt or stone. One of those stories the born again use.
