Another Republican Lie About Obama, in Wash Times Editorial

All the Washington Times had to do was a little fact checking. But they decided to go with a false charge to rile up the gun nuts and Republicans who read the paper. That’s dishonesty, but somehow the Wash Times still is considered part of the media. Others in the legitimate media should call them on this.

1. I was at a Tractor Supply Company here in western PA yesterday

And I overheard four of the workers discussing Obama. First they talked about his plan to tax ammunition sales, and the rush-to-buy that occurred just after he was elected. Then they talked about his plan to eliminate secret ballot voting.

I didn't say anything because, honestly, what could I have said that would have made a difference to them? This county went red in the last two Presidential elections at least, and not by small margins.


There is no shortage of outlets for bullshit anti-Obama sentiment, nor of drones eager to spread the word.

2. What I find totally ironic and hilarious is these idiots started this whole

"Obama is going to take our guns/ammo" meme and that drove the prices sky high. Now they are screaming because the prices are sky high and of course that's the liberals fault too. They are such ...., I can't think of a single word strong enough to label them with. Oh and I forgot to mention the fact that because there are shortages of everything it's also Obama's fault and has absolutely nothing to do with them hording everything they can get their grubby little fingers on.

3. And it's not as though these knuckleheads are Union, either

They're minimum wage floor-workers at a huge franchise. You'd think that they'd be eager to get some of the benefits that Union members have fought and (literally) died for.

Instead, they howl about what they've heard on one of the hundred RW radio programs available daily in this region...
