FLASH: Rush Limbaugh Off the Radio (for a week)!!

In a stunning development, Rush Limbaugh has caved to the pressure put out by the vast majority of Americans and will go off the air Monday! He will have guest hosts take over for a week, but without a doubt President Obama's edict on banning Rush Limbaugh from influencing the Congress, which triggered a response by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DNCC) has likely taken effect.



Of course, Rush will say that he has "planned" this vacation or some other bull pucky. Indeed, he takes more vacations than I do. But this is an UNPRECEDENTED break, much like the time this drug-crazed idiot was called to the carpet on his "back pain" medication. In other words, this was FORCED on him. Why should he take a break in the middle of crucial legislation that affect the economy, UNLESS he were forced to do so by pressure from all sources, including Democratic Underground?

YOU CAN'T FOOL ME. More importantly, you can't fool the people who VOTE for the party you ostensibly try to promote as a political organization. The http://www.dccc.org/rush">DNCC's petition has had an UNPRECEDENTED and OVERWHELMING response that clearly shows that Rush's presence on the radio is a CLEAR and PRESENT DANGER to American values and global economic, environmental, and societal advancement.

Arguably, he controls his radio network. But I can imagine that his minions had some heated conferences with him due to this deception of a radio show FINALLY being shown the light of day! As a matter of fact, this should accelerate the new Fairness Doctrine in ways that FINALLY give our country hope…and change.

the FCC won't take him off of the air, but they do collect complaints and they are requested by stations and advertisers.

It would be best to make our feelings known for the record.

...they had to quit listening to this blowhard. So much pressure was put on Rush that he is taking a week off "ostensibly" for a vacation, but this may be the beginning of his reduction in his blathering, economic-homicidal positions.

The fact that he just screwed up ANY chance that the Fairness Doctrine will NOT be in play, and hopefully by summer we will see his influence greatly reduced through OUR edicts, not just obama's chiding.

My question is, by sending these letters to Rash, how exactly does that help?

I would feel letters were accomplishing more if they were sent to the FCC or some larger entity not connected to the vast rw conspiracy. Telling Rash you disagree with him is like.... trying to explain etiquette to a rabid lamprey.
