Ken Burns: This is not the John McCain NH once loved
WHAT HAPPENED to John McCain? What happened to the man so many of us in New Hampshire have admired and respected for so long? The fierce bipartisan warrior, the straight talker, the maverick whose ideas nearly everyone found some common ground with now seems missing in action. He seems to have betrayed the very attributes that originally commended him to us and earned our earlier trust and support.

Surrounded and programmed by the lobbyists he once despised, the man who once effortlessly straddled the aisle and spoke from the heart now carefully hews to a prompter-read, soulless far-right agenda.

3. Read the comments
They're worth reading if you want to see how red-hot believers respond when their McPOW is portrayed fairly and accurately.

One gentleman even noted that the "9/11 war" was a matter of "them attacking us."

This, folks, is that 26% that still thinks Fuckface is doing a great job.

The ones John Dean called "immunized from reality."

5. Yep, it's depressing
that there are ignorant people who are so easily misled, but maybe that will eventually prove helpful.

People seem to act a lot like sheep, so perhaps the under-educated (I can't describe it any other way) will soon feel the need to join the herd running towards Obama because of
economic fears. (Or drop out of the voting process in confusion.)

The herd in general seems to be wising up thanks to the bitter economy.

6. It finally hit home
It took economic disaster - worthless dollar, food prices beyond reach, jobs lost, houses foreclosed, gas too expensive to buy - for the American public to wake up and realize that Fuckface has been putting it to them for almost 8 years.

At least they finally woke up.

All those dead soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan, all those Iraqi and Afghani civilians we killed, they didn't get a rise out of the electorate. But, hit them in the pocketbook, and suddenly, everyone's an activist.

You know, I don't care what propels them - just so long as they vote for Obama.
