The convention PLUS Sarah Palin have dramatically improved Obama/Biden poll numbers

The first absurd response to McCain's Sarah Palin VP choice was to think he was very clever and that it would show up in the polls.

Well, it IS showing up in the polls, but combined with the Democratic Convention, it has dramatically IMPROVED the Obama/Biden poll numbers.

The American people aren't so brain dead they want a former topless beauty queen for president. It's really VERY hard to translate that into anything presidential, just as it's VERY hard not to think McCain's choice (let's say it straight out!) is all tangled up with sexuality.

McCain is on a roll with beauty queens. He's already married two of them and now he wants his newest one to be Vice President of the United States of America.

Wow, Macho Man McCain! Pretty impressive, huh? He gets to ogle Palin to his hearts content while he sends a message to the world that this still attractive woman is going to be abjectly dependent on him (hmmm, that sounds a little kinky) for the next four years.

So what's going on here? I mean, what's REALLY going on?

How about this interpretation? Palin is not without political capital, since she's criminally brain dead about the environment (global warming is not man made -- say what?) and equally brain dead about religion, i.e., she's a hard core religious fundamentalist. Ergo, similar scientific air heads and Armageddon types (the world is going to go boom any day now) are going to think she's just what they want -- in spite of her exceptionally exhibitionist past.

But that's about it. No experience here means NO EXPERIENCE. A year or two as governor of Alaska, but all the rest is Readers Digest. This woman has a pamphlet understanding of the world.

The thing to bear in mind about McCain is that he's near the end of male menopause, and very often men in that condition will do ANYTHING to convince themselves and others that they are, at worst, aging Macho Men. In short, it is highly plausible to interpret his choice for Vice President as very significantly having to do with this "issue".

Something like business with pleasure.

So did McCain pick Sarah Palin partly for political reasons? Of course, that's obvious.

But did he ALSO pick Sarah Palin partly for personal (i.e., sexual) reasons? Well, that one's not so obvious, but I bet 90% of the country senses that some kind of sexual funny business is going on here.

And you know what; I further bet that THEY DON'T LIKE IT. Republicans (even if you always vote against them) aren't fools, and they know just as much as centrists and progressives that this was a "fools choice" made for reasons that have NOTHING to with the well being and national security of the United States of America.

Hey John, your lust is showing.

ps Watch what portion of Palin's anatomy McCain checks out when she walks off the stage in front of him. It's pretty blatant. It's also infinitely inappropriate and mortally dangerous to have that kind of nonsense going on involving a potential President and Vice President of the United States of America.
