McCain judged by company he keeps
If a man is known by his company, let's examine John McCain and his team.

His strategy and communications staff, Steve Schmidt, Nicolle Wallace and Greg Jenkins are Karl Rove protégées, continuing Bush's legacy of personal smears, dirty politics and politicizing of everything. Charlie Black, McCain's chief strategist, lobbies for Blackwater, Lockheed Martin, GM, GE, Rupert Murdoch and Philip Morris.

Rick Davis, McCain's campaign chairman, lobbies for the telecommunications industry. Wayne Berman, McCain's fundraising co-chair, lobbies for the Carlyle Group, Chevron, Shell, drug companies and Ameriquest, a predatory lender.

Randy Scheunemann, McCain's top national security adviser, is a neoconservative from the Project for a New American Century, which advocates for expansion of American military hegemony, use of battlefield nukes, weaponization of space and the use of gene-specific bioweapons. Not only has he helped Bush create the deceptions and fearmongering supporting the Iraqi invasion and occupation, he lobbied for foreign corporations, contributing to American job loss overseas.

Conservative pundit Patrick Buchanan said McCain "will make Cheney look like Gandhi."

1. An outsider's observation: everyone is ignoring the elephant in the corner.
Why is nobody from the Democratic side talking about McCain's involvement with the Keating 5? Was this not a huge scandal that McCain was up to his eyeballs in? I certainly think that is much more important than the fact that Obama didn't wear a flag lapel pin!:sarcasm:
