Clinton 'heading for the exit'
Source: BBC John Zogby Article

Where do we go from here? My understanding is that probably today, but certainly within 48 hours, about 30 super-delegates will endorse Mr Obama. That should give him further momentum.

Zogby suggesting a huge dump of about 30 SDs in 2 days.

5 super delegates today

If we see 7-8 tomorrow then it seems plausible.

3. I am a staunch Obama supporter and former
Hillary supporter who has not at all been pleased with a lot of what she's said and done this past year, let alone the awful campaign she's run. But I do agree with her when she says she's staying in the race until the end because people in the remaining primary states have the right to vote the way they wish and to have their voices heard. She's right about that, even though her chances appear bleaker and bleaker.

Hubby and I never thought our primary in SD would matter at all, since it's the last in the country on June 3 (along with Montana). We joked back in Jan. about it being the "defining" moment of the race and having an important say in things, when we really knew that it wouldn't matter all that much by that time. Who knew that our joking may actually turn out to be correct and that it may, in fact, actually make a difference??????

6. I don't have a problem with her staying in
as long as she pulls back and is less aggressive on Obama.

I'd like to hear her go after mcbush

16. Now, I will definitely
agree with THAT. It infuriates me that she has been attacking Obama like he's the worst republican and leaving Bush and Co. alone, for the most part, let alone her making statements that appear to bolster McLame.

9. The fact is that campaigns only stop for one reason lack of money
This year is unusual in that 2 candidates had such huge amounts of money. If Clinton is however out of money and none is coming in she will quit.

10. There have been past predictions of a big superdelegate dump.
It's never happened. Rather, the slow trickle is what has been killing Hillary. The slow trickle is also why Hillary has stayed around.

It's like a lobster in the pot: you slowly turn up the heat, and it never notices it is being cooked.

12. yes all true but at some point the damn will burst hence the term: bandwagon
There are a large number of SDs who endorsed only to find themselves representing districts 100% against their local constituencies.

If it cracks you should see a large group moving fast. But the 100 number is silly. What made this more reasonable was that it was only 30. Over the last 3 days they have picked up 12 SDs if they simply pick up another 10 in 2 days it will be significant as she will have lost the lead in SDs.

13. You make a good point.
A bandwagon effect is probably going to happen sometime. Especially if we see more superdelegates "flipping" from Clinton to Obama. That might kick-start something.

Swirling down the drain.

Bub-bye Senator Clinton.

Recommended and :kick:ed.

on edit: I recommend that Senator Clinton *suspend* her campaign this week. This accomplishes all sorts of good things, including not stranding her devout supporters in the upcoming primary states. She can even claim it is for financial reasons, which is as good a reason as any. With Obama now the presumptive nominee, this also enables Hillary to save a lot of face for her somewhat incautious words after last Tuesday. She can return to the Senate without being damaged goods.
