The Vibrating 'Cock Ring': A Buzzthrill or Buzzkill?
from the NY Observer, via AlterNet:

The Vibrating 'Cock Ring': A Buzzthrill or Buzzkill?

By Spencer Morgan, New York Observer. Posted February 27, 2008.

The vibrating ring is the hot new item in sex shops. Is this a sign that Americans are becoming more comfortable with sex, or just lazier?

"I would love it if a guy pulled out one of those, because then it would show that he's aware of my pleasure. I think it's a considerate gesture," said Kate, a 28-year-old publicist with shoulder-length brunet hair.

Eleanor, 26, a lithe blond fashion writer, lamented: "They're really hard to turn on once everything gets slippery. We spent a good five minutes trying to turn the thing on before we finally gave up!"

And Harriet, a 31-year-old Southern blond with bangs who works at the United Nations -- all the names for this piece have been changed -- was elated to share her recent discovery with a friend. "Oh, my God, oh, my God," she shrieked on the street when they met. "Have you ever heard about the vibrating ring? It's a little a ring that goes on the penis and at the top there's a tiny little vibrator and when you're having sex it touches right on your clitoris and it's amaaazing."

Her friend, also 31, who works in fashion, was confused. "You mean a cock ring?"

"No -- it's a little ring and it has a little tiny battery," Harriet explained. The two young women went in search of a sex shop.

They needn't have bothered. Any Duane Reade could have sold them the apparatus -- discreetly packaged to look exactly like a box of condoms, save for the fine print, and openly displayed among the rainbow-colored racks of condoms for sale throughout the city's pharmacies and many grocery stores. ......(more)

7. a 'Cock Ring' is different, it restricts the flow of blood out of the penis, smokers need them to
to get a reasonable erection.. dont flame me if you can because eventually you will need it...this unit is different, there are a lot of variables, some womens Clitoris i situated higher, receiving less stimulation without one..

and many to most women don't receive enough stimulation by the penis to orgasm anyway.. even with a lot of foreplay, and consider the average duration of the average American male is 2.4 minutes,

i worked in a swanky sex shop, we had a lot of women come in to buy a really quiet vibrator,.. yes guys, that is what they are doing when they go into the bathroom after sex.. finishing up your job..

i was consistently high sales of the month, i sold a lot of strap on's to women who had husbands who were smokers.. or had medical conditions, or as one women that came in said.. "we are sick of men's bullshit.!" the 'Doc Johnson' comes with a warenty,..i called them Penis Replacement Units, all the reviews i got were that they were considerably better than the real thing. many women bought several different models to fit the mood.. most women ate afraid to go into sex related stores.. ours were squeaky clean, bright, had female helpers. a very respectable place

you cant go wrong with Adam and Eve Stores, female clerks..lots of sexy clothes, etc, not just sex toys, very nice.. or the Internet..

i loved Trogens TV ad about the V-ring.. a couple dressed up for dinner, he pulls out an engagemenr ring box.. hands it to her and says,"Do you?" ...she opens it and eagerly exclaims.."I Do!".. really funny
