President Bush is on "thin ice" in claiming executive privilege.
~snip~

The White House has said that if the committee chooses to issue the subpoenas, the president's offer will be "off the table."

Dick Armey, the Republican former House majority leader, said Thursday that President Bush is on "thin ice" in claiming executive privilege.

He added that it is "hard for me to imagine that Karl Rove has any matters of information that are so important to the nation's security or its ability to conduct the business of our government that there's any reason he shouldn't testify."

Armey now is chairman of the conservative activist "Freedom Works" organization in Washington.

1. Dick, Dick, Dick. Put your RW thinking hat back on.
A) Karl Rove has information that is vitally important to George Bush's security and his ability to conduct business.

B) George Bush's security and business is much more important than the nation's security or the business of our government.

C) Ergo, Karl Rove should not testify.

See how easy that was?

2. ProsecutorGate Is a Gift to US From Heaven
It's entirely domestic, so no one can argue that national security or foreign policy or even terrorism is involved. It's political in essence, and stinks to high heaven, so there isn't a voice on the planet (aside from a few paid shills) arguing that it was a good thing, if not especially legal. The victims are connected, educated, and nominally GOP, so no Democrats are involved.

It is Entrapping everyone EXCEPT Condi, but she's toast, anyway. It is especially good for getting Kkkarl. So no negotiations, no special handling, full prosecution of all the parties involved.
