The blogosphere – on both sides of the issue – has been abuzz about the Ms. I Had An Abortion Petition. And we haven't even printed the petition with signatures yet!

We need you to help us collect more signatures, so when the fall issue of Ms. Magazine – featuring the first printing of the Petition – goes on newsstands around the country on October 10, we can show massive support for abortion rights. If the women who have had abortions in the U.S. make themselves known to the politicians, we have the power to transform this debate once and for all.

It is time to speak out in massive numbers – and to make politicians face their neighbors, influential movers and shakers, and yes, even their own family members. We cannot, we must not lose the right to safe and accessible abortion or access to birth control for U.S. women and the women of the world.

As right-wing ideologues are pushing passage of abortion bans – and we fight in South Dakota - we urge those of you who have had abortions to step forward and lend your name publicly to the Ms. Petition.
