NEW AIR AMERICA MORNING SHOW - Mayor Willie Brown
I'm checking a tip from writer Mark De la Vina. He says comedian Will Durst and former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown will host a new morning show starting Jan. 2 on KQKE-AM (960), home of the syndicated liberal "Air America" network.

<snip>

San Francisco- December 2, 2005: 960 AM The Quake (KQKE), San Francisco's exclusive Progressive Talk Radio Station, is unveiling a new morning drive daily talk show to run Monday through Friday 7 to 10AM effective Monday, January 2, 2006, announces Bob Agnew, Clear Channel Radio San Francisco AM Program Director and West Coast Sports Brand Manager. The live and local program will feature former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown, with political satirist and former mayoral candidate Will Durst, and the Bay Area’s longtime radio host Paul Wells aka :"The Lobster."

1. Sounds like it's just a local show.........
Because it's a little late for a morning drive show from 10am - 1pm on the east coast.

Regardless, it's gonna take a lot to get me to stop listening to Stephanie Miller in the mornings. But I'm glad that listeners in the Bay area will have a choice!

2. Some choice
Willie Brown is a clever hack who can hardly attack Bush for cronyism, since getting jobs for his buddies was his major accomplishment as mayor of SF. Will Durst's "satire" is soft as sneakers. Paul Wells is a morning zoo kind of guy, I think.
