What to Do About the Bush Problem
By Robert Parry
September 23, 2005

Disaster experts will tell you that a key to surviving a catastrophe is to quickly discard the old paradigm of normalcy and to act with urgency and creativity in facing the new reality. There is no time for fretting or wishful thinking; decisiveness and imagination are crucial.

The same holds true for nations. History has taught us that sometimes when a leader has made catastrophic choices, others – from within the ruling elite or from without – must do something to shatter the old paradigm of normalcy and protect the nation.

The United States may have found itself in such a predicament. Figuratively at least, the flood waters are surging through the first floor and – while some say the water won’t rise much more – others think it’s time to grab the kids and seek higher ground.

The stark question now before the country is: Should it sit still for the next three-plus years of George W. Bush’s presidency or demand accountability, including possibly the removal of him and his political team from office?

(snip)

It's a pretty wordy but detailed analysis of the options.

1. next three-plus years of George
We need to hit our senators and congressman hard with e-mails,let them we`ve had it and remind them they or up for election soon,if they want work for us then they can`t work for us,if we got a democrat in the whitehouse but republicans still control house and senate its pointless, let know if they would like to keep a job then they had to start taking stands.

4. I'm with you
Many of the deaths in New Orleans are directly linked to that little son of a Bush's lack of response. He should be charged with criminal negligent homicide as any other American who causes the death of another would be, and from there impeached along with his VP who also did nothing.

6. If The Problem Were Only Bush!
If the problem were only Bush, he would have been impeached, convicted and removed years ago. The problem is the GOP and, by extension, half the country (although indications are that some of the fools are coming out of Denial and facing the horror of truth).

This is like stage four cancer--our chances of recovery are slim. I am doubting that even civil war would help this once glorious nation.

If I weren't 50 and burdened with a handicapped child (who is still receiving SSDI and other small benefits from what is left of the safety net) I would emigrate to Canada.

Maybe Cheney will have some unexpected complications to his recent surgery. Then we might stand a chance of breaking up the Grand Old Party and their stranglehold on life in these disUnited States.
