Need help responding with LTTE re Kerry military records
Today, the New Haven Register had a nasty little editorial on the Kerry D's while at Yale, basically saying "college transcripts offer no measure of political intelligence or ability." I think the editorial is inaccurate in saying that Kerry refused to release his military records during the presidential campaign. I recall he did release several and they were on his website. But I want to be sure. Can I back this statement up firmly?

I do plan to say in the letter that it's interesting that the Register would see fit to trot out this relatively old news at a time when Bush's poll ratings are at an historic low.

1. Correct Me If I am Wrong ---- but I was thinking the only reason
he did not release his records was that he made the offer to do it whenever Bush completely released all of his records.

On the grade situation, the grades Kerry got were the grades he earned and he was busy trying to save American lives in the war and then trying to end the war when he got back. (This is my own take, nothing that the Kerry campaign put out).

Also, as I stated he earned his grades.

Bush could'nt even earn a C as he has not done anything in life on his own that I can recall reading including the elections.

2. well it doesn't really help you

But basically Kerry refused the person requesting the full records, and has since released them. Once released the records show nothing but good. . . and knowledgeable report would research the status of the records before stepping up to insult a veteran.

3. well "nothing but good" except the grades
Sorry to say this, I think he was just to embarrassed by his Ds and could not face it in the presidential campaign.

However, that is not what I am arguing in this letter. It should stand on its own.
