Floriad Recount
Bev Harris from blackboxvoting.org just told Randi Rhodes that the Florida recount is a done deal unless the laws get changed between now and next week.

1. Law never stopped Jeb.
Believe it when I see it. Especially since they already RULED there would be no recount in the BBV.

4. COUINTING MY BLESSINGS!
The words "Florida recount" still don't get the media off their useless (except for ratings) obsession with Iraq and the Petersons! What's wrong with the media? Why isn't the Florida recount the lead story on every newscast?

11. Listen to what FOX's John Gibson just fuckin said!!!!!! WTF!!!!!!!
From his "my word"
It has been clear to everyone that Bush won — except to the dead-enders and former Baathists of U.S. politics... those die-hard "anybody but Bush people" and the bloggers who just want to stir up trouble and never seem to run out of gullible readers.
Two of my colleague news anchors on other networks actually gave this non-story cable network coverage. It is unconscionable.
Look at these words from Jack Corrigan (search), a longtime Kerry aide who was in charge of 3,600 Democrat lawyers ready to challenge the election.
Corrigan was quoted in The Boston Globe saying this:
"No one would be more interested than me in finding out that we really won, but that ain't the case. I get why people are frustrated, but they (the Republicans) did not steal this election. There were a few problems here and there in the election, but unlike 2000 there is no doubt that they (the Republicans) actually got more votes than we did, and they got them in the states that mattered."
Corrigan is speaking the truth to the truth deniers.
He's being ignored by certain people because they want the idea to germinate that Bush stole this election... that he stole two in a row.
I wrote a book about hating America. I have seen what happens when a half-baked, or nonsensical idea cooked up anywhere on the planet gets revved up on the Internet.
I guarantee it will be a matter of days, if not hours, before Al Jazeera (search) is repeating the assertions of my desperate cable colleagues. Then some dimwit French author will write a book, and it will sell a few million in Arabic.
Then some Marine colonel will lead his men into the next Fallujah and find the damn book in a jihadi terrorist decapitation dungeon — inspirational reading before sawing off someone's head.
This is how stupid ideas get people killed.
That's My Word.

WTF-we need to start making it more clear to people that this is just as much a threat to Reps as it is to Dems, b/c it seems like the Dems are fine with it. Maybe once the country is 100% electronic(Jan 1, 2006), they get first dibs on Prez?

12. John Gibson
is a true media whore. I remember when he was on MSNBC and sounded very reasonable most of the time.

14. Why so angry John???
Sounds a bit defensive, huh??? He's spewing some pretty hateful stuff about us folk... We're not calling them names - we're just asking for fairness...

15. this is great news
i am proud to be called part of "the dead-enders and former Baathists of U.S. politics..."! if our campaign on voter fraud is only half as successful as our dead-ender brothers in iraq, we will have made history.
this is great news because they feel they must respond, the facade of ignoring us is breaking down. i especially love that he critizes fellow "anchors on other networks". unbeknownst to himself, he is legitimising our positions. hurray i say.

Let's form a new political party called the Dead-Enders And Former Baathists of U.S. Politics DEAF BOUSP ! (i want to replace politics with a word beginning `H', any suggestions?)

13. GOING TO THE JOHN
Gibson is one of those media superstars created by OJ Simpson. I'll bet he didn't address any of the voter problems. A lot of those OJ stars went to FOX... I think they did an outreach to them because they figured the audience had bonded with them, so the Fox people went after them... just a guess.
