PATAKI MAN SLAMS BUSH
http://www.nypost.com/news/regionalnews/20393.htm

By FREDRIC U. DICKER & ABBY WISSE

November 10, 2004 -- ALBANY — Gov. Pataki's top political adviser has trashed President Bush, attacked the "Christian right," and said Bush's re-election means Pataki can't become president in 2008.
The shocking comments by Arthur Finkelstein appeared in the Israeli daily newspaper Maariv, which also quoted the nationally known GOP consultant as saying that in the presidential election, "the Republican Party became the Christian right, the most radical in modern history ever."

Finkelstein, the one-time political guru to former U.S. Sen. Alfonse D'Amato, is also described by Maariv writer Boaz Gaon as "hating" Bush.

In the story, which ran last Friday, Finkelstein accused Bush of trying to "dictate to America how to live and what to believe in."

3. Oh, this is getting amusing.
They're shitting in their pants. I don't think they expected Bush to win either. Oh, that's right. If Bush stole the election, the only way he could have done it was by confiscating all the votes for anyone that registered as a Republican. Which means any group of Republicans that voted in block against him, would know that they were robbed.

hehhehehee.

6. That's exactly right.
We really don't know how many Republicans had their vote disenfranchised this election do we? I figured, if anyting, exit polling would be skewed in Bush's favor. People saying they voted for Bush while actually voting for Kerry.

We really need to canvass and get people to sign an affidavit as to who they voted for. For all we know it could have been 70-30 Kerry....and the manipulators simply took back every Republican vote that went to Kerry.

8. They made a pact with the devil
when they joined forces with the Christian Coalition and now they find themselves being forced out of their own party.

Serves them all right.

4. Uh oh
I'm not sure what to think about this. George E aint exactly a favorite amongst the "liberal elite" in the Capital District of NY. He aint that terrible but he aint not Cuomo either. I believe he did a fair amount of whor... I mean stumping for W as well. Sounds like a politcal stunt to me.

9. Repuke response
(because Finkelstein is gay)

he's "flamboyantly bashing the President."

Face it, all of you who are gay. The Republican Party does not have room for you and the Radical Religious Right. They hate you for who you are.

That's the real "compassionate conservatism."

Another Bush lie.

11. Now if only they had guts in public.
Spectre says 'watch out on those nominees bush' and a day later he's out acting all contrite and apologetic.

Pataki says things through an advisor...McCain lets Bush put his arm around him and just grins and bears it.

Why don't the Republican moderates have any balls? Seriously? I mean...grow a pair already. I don't agree with what they think about certain issues, but I respect them and their opinions.

The foundation of our government lies in 2 parties agreeing that something needs to be done, and arguing about how to do it the best way. Now we have 2 parties that disagree about what needs to be done, and questioning the patriotism of the other side. The Republican party has swung so far left that the reasonable and respectable republicans, even ones with whom I disagree, are getting pushed out of positions of power. yet they do nothing to fight the destruction of their own party. Thats what it will come to. Everyones been talking about the Democractic party falling apart, but just wait...10 bucks that the Republican party fractures first.

for a moderate in this new Republican party. Pro Choice? forget it cause you won't get to run so save your time and money. As we get the neocon morality stuffed down our throat through censorship and other forms of limitation of our rights and freedoms, Republicans will gag just as much as the Dems. The Repug party will shrink like a wool skirt in the dryer or their little wieners in water as cold as the blood flowing through their veins.

16. NE Republicans need to break with the national party
the national party is controlled by the crazies. That don't go over too well here in the NE, our conservatives are relatively sane and secular.

This is a good sign. The moderates might try to take their party back from the crazies...
