Dulles NOW boycotts US elections

National Organization for Women will not participate in presidential elections in protest against US foreign policies.

VIENNA, Virginia - The Dulles NOW Executive committee has unanimously voted not to participate in the US presidential and local elections for the first time in the chapter's history as a protest against Bush's exploitation of September 11, 2001 attacks to invade Iraq.

Dulles NOW, the National Organization for Women, endorsed George W. Bush in 2000 out of a patriotic sense of duty because of the fact that the Democrats had "applauded the eight years of violent, erratic and debauched Clinton rule which proved nationally and internationally calamitous for America."

However, Dulles NOW said that, when horror descended upon their land on September 11, 2001, "the Bush administration exploited the tragedy to instil fear in the population, fuel a relentless and vile propaganda crusade to fan the flames of racial hate while posturing as noble defenders of the nation."
