Moore to Have Cameras at Polling Places
COLUMBUS, Ohio - Liberal filmmaker Michael Moore plans to have hundreds of cameras outside polling places in Ohio and Florida on Election Day to watch for attempts to suppress voter turnout.

The director of the anti-Bush documentary "Fahrenheit 9/11" announced Saturday that a total of 1,200 professional and nonprofessional cameramen, filmmakers and videographers will bring their cameras to polling places in the two presidential battleground states, especially in minority communities.

"I'm putting those who intend to suppress the vote on notice: Voter intimidation and suppression will not be tolerated," Moore said in a statement.

1. This is why we're going to win...
Because this year, we're prepared for their cheating attempts, and this year we'll stop them BEFORE they happen.

2. It might work .
But their state's election supervisors are Repugs..If we are not ready to fight, don't count on it...Camera's are a big help...Documentation helps to tame the crooks..
Thank you Mike...Hope Jimmy Carter will not back down...We need international election observers...I have been calling Democratic Congress members for such..
Who else have we got the US Supreme Court...When Rehnquist retires, if he has any life left..He can go out and again scare some Minority voters...His face alone is enough to...

3. I hate it how Micheal Moore hates America so much
I mean, first he exposes lies by the Bush administration. Now he wants to catch republicans trying to supress voter turnout in minority areas. What a communist.

9. REMINDER - This is illegal in some states
It's illegal in North Carolina to videotape polling places. It's considered voter intimidation and has been used that way in the past. I personally think it should be illegal across the country.

That's not to take away from Moore's reasons...I understand why he wants to do it, but I think it's a bad practice.

11. Generally not illegal to tape outside
It's usually (always?) illegal to tape inside polling places.

Not illegal to videotape outside--why do you you think news crews always have footage of the candidates entering their polling places?

to Voter Shenanigans. I personally believe that Michael Moore has made the Rat-publicans lives miserable. They may rant, but secretly they're frustrated and upset because he's made it difficult to cheat. He's discovered their little game, so to speak.

They'll have to be more honest from now on, or they're going to have to try VERY hard to illegally elect their "guy". They may be afraid that Moore is going to use the footage for some kind of new movie that will implicate them. That's got to instill fear in them.

Moore just made the price of winning at all costs very high.

16. Mr. Moore--you da man!
Sometimes you just gotta love the bright unforgiving daylight of surveillance. Naturally, the Reds will scream bloody murder that their voter suppression and intimidation efforts will be suppressed and intimidated by such exposure. Bullys are generally cowards. Knowing that they are under observation will demoralize the bulk of them and curb their more egregious brownshirt fantasy tendencies, all the while sniffing to each other that Michael Moore doesn't play by the rules and hates America and not for an instant recognizing the irony. Michael Moore, you brilliant ballsy magnificent son-of-a-bitch--I LOVE YOU, MAN!!!:yourock:

20. The only thing I would have advised: DON'T SAY WHERE YOU'RE TAPING.
Would have been a better deterrent if MM had kept mum on exactly what states would be scrutinized, IMHO.

But this is still a damned good idea.

17. I think Michael Moore is going for a deterrant effect in Florida
He probably already has enough material for his next five documentaries, he seems much more interested in fighting for democracy these days.
