Baghdad Iraq – An improvised explosive device detonated on a Task Force Baghdad patrol at approximately 7:15 a.m. today, wounding six Soldiers in western Baghdad.

Six Soldiers were medically evacuated to a nearby military medical treatment facility.

The incident is under investigation.
