US to lose more than 400,000 jobs this year
http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&cid=1521&e=1&u=/afp/us_asia_economy_jobs

WASHINGTON (AFP) - The United States will lose more than 400,000 jobs this year to Mexico, China, India and other Asian nations as multinational corporations restructure operations and shift production overseas, a study showed.

The number of jobs lost will be around double those three years ago, according to the study by Cornell University and the University of Massachusetts for the US-China Economic and Security Review Commission.

The study came amid heated debate ahead of the November 2 presidential elections on outsourcing of jobs to China, India and other developing economies and its adverse impacts on employment at home.

Ah, but Bush has a plan to deal with this! Everybody should go back in time and get a better grade school education! That will solve all our problems!

What a jackass .......

1. I feel ill. Literally nauseous.
The media had better fucking cover this. This should be the headline on every newspaper in the United States tomorrow. This should be the Top Story that the all of the TV media outlets report on every few minutes.

Nice Friday news dump, btw.

2. Yep, community college to bone up for GED, borrow money.....
...to pay for an education that has no prospect of making you more employable or earn a better living. No plan, no vision, no program, no solution, no more years Mr President!

11. email the spin machine
Everyday, they "pick" something to repeat ad nauseum and spin...
today's instruction from the white house press release was
"Mary".

Please email the media and request them to cover this story...

it's just pathetic they are not covering this, they don't cover
the trade deficit, Karl Rove testified in front of a grand jury...
didn't really cover it...

we just get spin and talking heads versus any real news.
