Veterans for Kerry Barred From Bush Rally
SALEM, Ore. - About 30 Oregon veterans who support Democrat John Kerry (news - web sites) for president were rebuffed Tuesday when they showed up at a Republican rally in hopes of delivering a letter to first lady Laura Bush criticizing the war in Iraq (news - web sites).

Bush spoke to about 3,500 of her husband's supporters at Chemeketa Community College here and, as with other Bush-Cheney events in the state, admission was by ticket only and was limited to supporters of the administration.

Before the rally, the group of pro-Kerry veterans asked Secret Service agents at the site to deliver a letter to Bush, but were told they would have to mail the letter to the White House.

Terry Kirsch, a Vietnam veteran from Canby, Ore., said he later tried to use a ticket to get into the event, but was told the fire marshal had closed the site.

"It was very disheartening to me as someone who fought in the war and was wounded in the war, and now I'm not allowed to hear my government speak," Kirsch said............

1. Were the Swift Boat Liars allowed to attend Kerry rallys?
I'm guessing yes. And they certainly didn't need to sign any "Loyalty Oath" to do so.

4. What did these vets expect?
I'll bet they didn't sign loyalty oaths or agree to work the phone banks like the rest of the sheep herded out of the rally to "volunteer" for Bush.

5. I cannot meet the demand for "Veterans for Kerry" yard signs.
Something is very wrong with a "media" that obsesses with vengeful, NUTS over all those who are seeking balance,...who are seeking "American values",...who are seeking to acknowledge the best of humanity,...rather than the dollar-drawing worst. Our country has been drawn into a media "freak" tent,...an "attraction" for a dollar.

God help us,...please,...

He couldn't even find the guts to go to Nam but he won't listen to those who did? What an ass.
