Ex-President Clinton to Speak in Arkansas (Nov. 16)
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Former President Clinton has confirmed his first public appearance since his heart surgery three weeks ago -- a speech at the Little Rock Chamber of Commerce's annual meeting on Nov. 16.

The event will be held two days before Clinton's presidential library opens in Little Rock, and Clinton's appearance settles uncertainty about whether his health would allow him to participate in weeklong celebrations in conjunction with the opening.

The announcement did not address Clinton's availability to campaign for presidential candidate John Kerry, which Democrats are hoping he will be able to do.

Clinton's spokesman Jim Kennedy said that while he will appear in Little Rock, it is still too early to gauge Clinton's ability to travel before the Nov. 2 election.

4. I bet we get him back the last week of October
Somehow I don't think the doctors could make Bill Clinton sit out a presidential campaign.

6. All they need
is a satellite truck and camera. He could do a live-feed from his own home.

5. I'll bet he's been on the phone a lot
doing fund raising and whatever he can for Kerry. Just because we don't see him on the news doesn't mean he isn't helping. I'm sure it's all his family can do to keep him from doing too much!

7. Hope he can do some TV and radio interviews
Invite the TV pundits in, maybe Larry King for instance. Do remote feeds. Get well Big Dog!

8. I love Clinton
I think this library opening now is keen timing. I hope Kerry comes down there for part of it. This could be a huge help in rallying Democratic voters in Arkansas.

9. Interesting the way they refer to him as "Ex- President" when they
don't use that appellation with any othe the other former presidents, especially Poppy!
