Saudi to host international terrorism conference
Saudi Arabia on Monday announced it would host an international conference on combating terrorism, but warned that peace and security in the Middle East will fail if Israel holds on to policies "totally incompatible with the fundamental principles of the peace process."

Saudi Arabia's "strategy of pre-emptive actions to forestal criminal acts has been successful in the fight against this vile epidemic," Nizar Obaid Madani, Saudi Arabia's deputy foreign minister told world leaders and diplomats at the U.N. General Assembly's ministerial meeting.

The kingdom began it crackdown on terrorists after it emerged that 15 of the 19 hijackers who carried out the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on US soil were Saudis. But foreign and government targets have been struck in Saudi Arabia and authorities there have been hunting al-Qaida-linked militants said to be behind those attacks.

On Sunday, another foreigner was gunned down in Saudi Arabia in an attack authorities believe was carried out by terrorists.

While denouncing terrorism, Madani said terrorists' actions should not be used as a pretext for linking Islam with terror.

Apparently Madani would give you an argument about that.

11. I'm not linking terror to Islam, I'm linking to the saudis.
The saudis have tried to have it both ways for years. They fed and encouraged the beast, and were happy as long as they didn't get chewed on.

10. Arghhhhhhhhhh!
Is this the end of irony? Or is it the end of the world? Let's see....the foxes are holding an international conference on how to protect the chicken coop!

The sooner we cut the cord from the Saudis the safer we will be! Energy independence is the only way we will survive.
