WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld on Thursday raised the possibility that some areas of Iraq night be excluded from elections scheduled for January if security could not be guaranteed.

"Let's say you tried to have an election and you could have it in three-quarters or four-fifths of the country. But in some places you couldn't because the violence was too great," Rumsfeld said at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing.

"Well, so be it. Nothing's perfect in life, so you have an election that's not quite perfect. Is it better than not having an election? You bet," he said.

figure it this way: if you can write your own laws to invade another sovereign country, place in harm's way the young of your own country, poke your finger into the eye of the entire world, then why the hell be at the very least *moved* in any way when these a**es invoke further bs-their-own-way?

Iraq had elections - even if nobody votes - they still had elections.

It will be interesting how they clean up one small town to get the people out to vote. Maybe it will be the people in the Green Zone? I read they are only fired on a few times every night. Not perfect but a few could vote.
