Updated: 10:54 a.m. ET Sept. 8, 2004CINCINNATI - John Kerry, at a site where President Bush made his case that Iraq was a threat to the United States, argued Wednesday that the president left a trail of broken promises on the path to war and has squandered money that could be put to better use for health care, education and jobs.

“George W. Bush’s wrong choices have led America in the wrong direction on Iraq and left America without the resources we need here at home,” the Democratic presidential candidate said. “The cost of the president’s go-it-alone policy in Iraq is now $200 billion and counting.”

The speech showed Kerry shifting from a defensive stance fending off charges of inconsistencies on the war to an aggressive challenge of Bush’s decisions in the run-up and aftermath of the U.S. invasion.

3. John Kerry is doing the right thing: Simply telling the truth about how
Bu$h is destroying our country economically, and sending our troops off to die and be wounded for no justifiable reason.

Every decision Bu$h has made has hurt our country.

4. "Kerry sought to tie Iraq to . . ."
I like THAT locution! As if pouring $200 billion into Iraq has no effect whatsoever on spending or the budget in other areas, and Kerry has to forge some links that aren't there or aren't readily apparent! Thanks MSRNC. Your $20 bill is on the dresser.
