ND Republicans must rush to get Bush on ballot (Kerry too...1 day left!!!)
BISMARCK, N.D. - Most North Dakotans are likely to vote in November for Republican George W. Bush or Democrat John Kerry. Neither man has his name on the ballot, a day before the filing deadline.

North Dakota Republicans are planning to rush three sets of paperwork from the party's national convention in New York City, where President Bush is scheduled Thursday night to formally accept the GOP nomination to run for re-election.

North Dakota's filing deadline arrives at 4 p.m. Friday. Two of the required documents, an affidavit of candidacy and a list of presidential electors, must be signed by Bush himself. Vice President Dick Cheney is required to sign a separate affidavit.

John Kerry, who accepted his party's nomination at the Democratic National Convention in Boston last July, also has not submitted the needed documentation to get on the ballot, Secretary of State Al Jaeger said.

2. Something just FU while I posted this thread.
And it's not letting me edit my post. It should be a day and a half in the headline and not just a day.

3. I posted last week about this
There was concern *ush might not be on some ballots because he accepts the nomination after some states deadlines.
My dream is that he wouldn't be on any...I wish!

9. It doesn't matter
He won't win the electoral votes, and there are so few popular votes in ND . . .

Of course he'll be on the darn ballot, but it would be a great gesture for a ballsy dem. to simply refuse to be on the ballot in totally lopsided rethug state. Especially if s/he could win without the state. Imagine the shit-in-their-pants feeling those voters would feel the day after election day -- no pork for YOU!
