Amazon Gives Pundits Web Space to Debate U.S. Poll

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - Taking a page from bookstores and Internet publishers that host lively debates, Amazon.com on Tuesday launched a section on its Web site for political pundits to discuss the U.S. presidential election.

The new strategy to lure customers comes just months after the Seattle-based online retailer let users make political donations to presidential contenders through its site, raising more than $300,000 for 14 candidates.
