Anderson (IN) native will take key FBI post (deputy director)
WASHINGTON -- FBI Director Robert Mueller today selected an Anderson, Ind., native to take over the agency's No. 2 spot as the next deputy director.

John S. Pistole will be promoted upon the retirement of Deputy Director Bruce J. Gebhardt on Oct. 1

Pistole has served as executive assistant director for counterterrorism and counterintelligence since December 2003, and previously served as assistant director of the counterterrorism division. As deputy director, Pistole will oversee all operational and investigative matters in the FBI.

1. I just checked him out on disinfopedia and he seems to have a decent
background. 20+ years with the FBI in sequentially successful positions. I guess he sounds OK to me.
