French Court Reopens Diana Driver Probe
Guardian
By VERENA VON DERSCHAU

Associated Press Writer

SNIP

PARIS (AP) - A French appeals court has reopened an investigation into whether there was any falsification of toxicology tests on the chauffeur in the car crash that killed Princess Diana in 1997, judicial sources said Thursday.

Tests deemed that the driver, Henri Paul, who was killed along with Diana and her companion, Dodi Fayed, had an excessive amount of alcohol in his blood as well as medication incompatible with alcohol.

However, in a June 29 decision, the appeals court's investigative unit ordered the reopening of an inquiry - closed twice previously - into whether the tests might have been falsified, the judicial officials said. They spoke on condition of anonymity.

The investigation was initially opened after Paul's parents filed a complaint questioning blood tests that were made within days of the Aug. 31, 1997, accident in a Paris traffic tunnel. Jean and Gisele Paul specifically asked that DNA tests on the blood samples be made to verify it was their son's blood that was tested.

MAYBE this hype is because of the disastrous Diana Fountain Fiasco in Hyde Park, just to drum up more tourists into the E-Coli infested water feature that was closed to the publictwo weeks after opening....

1. I loved Diana, but why wasn't she wearing a seat belt?
The only person in the car wearing a seatbelt survived. Why don't people concentrate on that?

4. That was not Henri Paul's blood
Doctors to face inquiry on Di's death

Aug 14

...

A French court ordered the fresh inquiry after accepting expert advice that Mr Paul's blood samples could not be authentic.
...

The panel, led by Britain's foremost forensic analyst, found the initial conclusion that Mr Paul was heavily intoxicated could not be true - because of extreme levels of carbon monoxide in his blood.

Instead, they found the blood sample must have been compromised and that the initial investigation failed to follow accepted procedures in the post mortem.

Some experts believe the vials may have been accidentally switched, particularly as Mr Paul's sample was consistent with somebody who has committed suicide by using a hose connected to their car's exhaust.

5. Hunting for truth in Diana mystery
Hunting for truth in Diana mystery

Aug 12
The Scotsman

THE conspiracy theories surrounding the death of Princess Diana are to be laid bare for Capital crowds at this year’s Fringe.

Questions about the route she drove down, the constant surveillance she was under before her death and even the true motives of her chauffeur that fateful night are all to be explored.

...

"There were 15 speed cameras in that tunnel, but not one of them was turned on," he said.

"MI6 whistleblower Richard Tomlinson has since claimed that the driver Henri Paul was working for the agency and he allegedly died with £2000 in his pockets. I am asking if someone paid him to take her by that route, and did they pay to have her killed?"
