Schwarzenegger, moderates to speak for GOP
New York governor, mayor to highlight 9/11 theme at Republican convention

Washington -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sen. John McCain and Rudolph Giuliani have been chosen for prime-time speaking spots at the Republican convention in New York City this summer, campaign officials said Saturday.

The lineup is intended to spotlight party moderates while underlining a central theme of the Republican gathering: President Bush's response to the Sept. 11 attacks.

Gov. George Pataki of New York will also speak in prime time, according to a schedule that will be officially released Monday. Pataki or Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City, may well end up nominating Bush at the convention, party officials said.

By contrast, Mayor Michael Bloomberg of New York will open the convention with a daytime address that is intended to draw far less attention. That low- profile role comes at a time when party officials said that the Republican convention might be an unwanted political complication for Bloomberg, who is facing re-election in an intensely Democratic city next year.

2. It's Bush's legacy
His response to 9/11. He can't stand on his economic record, that's for sure.

Politicizing the tragedy...it's his only shot. (And I hope that shot goes right into his foot.)

The Untold Story of America's Greatest Commander in Chief, said Bush's response to 911 was strategically incorrect. Therefore in order to avoid military failure, "he would have to do everything else right" in order to succeed militarily. He is was opposed to the Iraqi invasion and believes it was the wrong response.

Arnold a fictional icon, is going to laud Bush's fictional role as a hero in a movie in which the sets are inexplicably switched after Act I.

ABC News:  Schwarzenegger Cites Hitler as Hero
Asked who his heroes are, he answered, "I admired Hitler, for instance, because he came from being a little man with almost no formal education, up to power. I admire him for being such a good public speaker and for what he did with it."
He is quoted as saying he wished he could have an experience, "like Hitler in the Nuremberg stadium. And have all those people scream at you and just being total agreement whatever you say."

8. With F911 out
Their 9/11 theme will be laughable, and no Republican voters are going to buy their platform or their bunk. And it is happening in a heavily Democratic stronghold, where everyone and its mother is just itching to fire Bloomberg and Pataki the chance they get....

Mission Impossible: Drag every Republican you know to F911. Offer to buy a ticket, get a convert after the movie. I am trying to get my Republican uncle to see the movie, and even offering to buy him a ticket.

For the first time in years, I might have to watch the GOP convention - this could be the unintentional comedy hit of the decade.

11. Sad, isn't it? Arnode spent his "acting" career trying to foment hate
against the Ayrabs and he positions himself for a stolen presidency and the party flops! What a shame.

At least there is NO DOUBT where Guilliani, McCain and Arnode stand. They are neocons through and through. Still think Guilliani knew about 9-11. His actions were too coordinated to appear the hero.

10. "Moderates" in name
only. Let them try to campaign again on the backs of the dead, I think it will backfire on them.

12. I am aware of each of these men's shortcomings --
but it still astounds me that people like them, who are not typical of Bush's hard-core, and not part of his cabal, would lend this kind of support, on nationwide television, to the infliction of four more years of George W. Bush on our country.

13. I suspect it has far more to do with their own political aspirations. . .
than it does their support of BushCo.
