Bush Is Just 'Normal Guy with Feelings' -Berlusconi
56 minutes ago Add Politics to My Yahoo!

ROME (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) is often misunderstood by those who do not know him personally and are unaware of his sensitive side, Italy's Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi said in a television interview on Sunday.

"He's a normal man, absolutely open to everyone's feelings. He's a family man, a husband, a father of two children who he loves very much. He's someone absolutely like us," Berlusconi, who revels in the role as Bush's closest European ally behind British prime minister Tony Blair (news - web sites), told RAI3's Telecamere.

"He has very deep feelings, especially for the U.S. victims (in Iraq (news - web sites)) ... his pain is deep."

Ahead of Bush's visit to Italy next Friday, which some opponents of the Iraq war have vowed to disrupt, Berlusconi defended U.S. pre-emptive military action in the Middle East.

I wonder what goodies Silvio is receiving for this fine endorsement.

2. Let's see, this is coming from someone who had the Italian government
pass legislation that he couldn't be prosecuted for any crimes as long as he was in office? Oh yeah, I bet bush* and Berlusconi share a lot of common personality traits.

8. LOL Berlusconi is a crim too though!
He owns 90% of Italian media and he is worth $10B. No doubt the news is, shall we say "flawed" in Italy. Then, as another poster notes, he had parliament pass legislation preventing him from being prosecuted while in office - he is accused of bribing a judge so that one of his business deals goes through without a hitch.

24. yup... all throwaway lines. Berlusconi is just thankful the U.S. has a
_resident who does not publicly question the kind of non-democratic government he runs. He knows Kerry would probably say something negative about what Italy is suffering through. Thus the farcical, grateful praise for Bush. I'm sure Bush admires what Berlusconi has done. Fucking dictator wannabe's.

I'm just a regular guy with a nickname ...

"I'm in a world of, sometimes a world of fakery, and obfuscation, political back shots, and so I'm very mindful about the proper use of faith in this process. And you can't fake your faith, nor can you use your faith as a shallow attempt to garner votes, otherwise you will receive the ultimate condemnation. And therefore, the best way for faith to operate in somebody is, as I said, to let the light shine as opposed to trying to defend or alter or get my job mixed up with a preacher's job." 17. So Bush looked into Putin's eyes and saw his soul. Now,
Berlusconi says Bush has 'feelings' and is just a normal family man. Isn't it time for Putin to give Berlusconi a great big bear hug? Then, they can call it a threessome. Billionaires all. Isn't that nice? Who else wants to get in?

By the say, Silvio, do the rest of the Italians agree with you? Or are you just pleading for time, before the hydrogen bomb hits your country. Bush is coming to visit. Why, he's even going to visit the Pope, who just called Bush "The Anti-Christ".

Have fun!!!

39. Dear Dirk,
I am very pleased with the tone of your sarcastic message. The level of truth it contains is at a near maximium without engaging in direct personal attacks against Bushler and "Ill Duce". I am proud to be a member of a site where decent people,"like us", can express our love for the 2 greatest losers of our age. But I must ask, "Where's Tony?"
