NASHVILLE, Tenn.
An American Airlines flight attendant was charged Friday with unlawful interference with an airline, one day after she told authorities she found a threatening note on a flight from Dallas-Fort Worth to Boston.
Gay Wilson, 37, of Arlington, Texas, caused the jet to be diverted to Nashville after she said she found a note in one of the plane's lavatories saying there was a bomb in the cargo hold, said Doug Riggin of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force.
Wilson was arrested in Dallas and is scheduled for a court hearing Tuesday, Riggin said.
"She was one of the people we interviewed, and our investigation revealed that she was indeed the person responsible for the note," Riggin said.
