1. I wonder what they'll blame it on?
Certainly not on Bush administration policy. I'm sure pundits will find a way to trace it back to Bill Clinton.

2. Oh, this one is TOO easy...
they'll blame it on al quaeda terrorists operating in Iraq and bombing the oil pipelines.

3. Yeah, but that won't work either

Without explaining what is happening to the 7 Million generated per day through Iraqi oil sales.

Come to think of it, they don't now...!

7. Well, I've been reporting gas prices from Orlando and...
yesterday I pulled into my favorite Shell station. The price posted on the pump for regular unleaded was $1.889 and as I was filling my tank, the attendant was changing the sign to read, $1.969. I thanked him for not changing the pump price first. He laughed and said, "We'll get you next week!" On the Florida turnpike last evening the gas was already posted at $2.129 for regular unleaded.

I know these prices are lower than many places around the country, but the trend everywhere is for prices to continue to climb. I have already adjusted my driving to minimize what I do and where I go on weekends. For a state like Florida which relies heavily on tourist travel, this is going to impact that industry this summer when many of our visitors come by car. Airline package deals are getting more expensive also.

8. I thought Bush was gonna "jawbone" with OPEC countries ...
to get the prices lowered. That was his exact terminology during the campaign. At the time, he was criticizing Clinton when gas was about $1.25. A lot of foolish people believed idiot Bush, and his plans to "jawbone" to get prices down. More "plain speaking" from the illiterate fraud.

16.  "I think you'll see $50 a barrel," Mr. Pickens said, "before you see $30.
Pickens, an oil speculator, said he thinks we will not see $30 a barrel oil ever again. Current price on Friday is $41.73 - highest ever price.
