1,044 US Military Personnel Hurt Since Start Of Iraq War
WASHINGTON (AP)

The U.S. Defense Department said Wednesday that 1,044 U.S. servicemen and women have been wounded in action or injured since the war in Iraq began March 20.

Of that total, 382 have been wounded or injured since President George W. Bush declared major combat over on May 1, according to the Pentagon's figures. Of the 212 U.S. troops who have died in Iraq since the war began, 74 died after May 1. ---

1. Well, I am certain it makes a big difference to the 382 wounded since
May 1, that "major combat" is over. <Turning irony off>

3. Remember that this includes...
legs, arms, eyes, fingers and toes being poked out/lobbed or blown off.

This includes folks who were in crashes and had their spines broken and will never walk again without mechanical help.

Many American and Iraqi lives were changed forever beween the start of this invasion and now. Many American and Iraqi stories ended between the start of this invasion and now. Many more will before this story is over.

6. The Cable News Network requested the Pentagon to release
Since when does rummy agree to requests. This should be public information. It's the taxpayers military, not rummy's.
