US warns Syria of sanctions move

The US has reminded Syria it intends to impose sanctions over what it calls its support for terrorism and failure to stop militants entering Iraq.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan told reporters that the US was "moving forward" on sanctions and Syria had to address American concerns.
