Bush Says Military Commanders to Secure Falluja
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=topNews&storyID=4973640§ion=news

President Bush said on Wednesday U.S. military commanders will take whatever actions are necessary to secure the besieged Iraqi city of Falluja.
"Our military commanders will take whatever actions necessary to secure Falluja," Bush said as U.S. Marines launched a fresh air and ground assault in the city.

Bush said there were "pockets of resistance" in the Iraqi city, but insisted that "most of Falluja is returning to normal."

1. Two troubling comments
CNN's Barbara Starr reported this morning that Abizade (sp) Central Command said that this required political as well as military solutions, but the Marines and especially the local commanders were frustrated with sitting out. Dubya's insistance that the military commanders "will take whatever actions necessary to secure Falluja." makes it sound likke Abizade has been overrulled.

"Pockets of Resisitance" comment by Dubya means he has no understanding of the nature of the conflict in Falluja. Either he hasn't been properly briefed or choses to ignore briefings of the situation.

This guy freaks me out!@

3. I've got a very bad feeling about tonight :(
Our military commanders will take whatever action is necessary to secure Falluja on behalf of the Iraqi people," Bush said during a meeting with Swedish Prime Minister Goran Persson.

"We will deal with those who want to stop the march to freedom, and that's exactly what's happening in Falluja," he added.

Despite the surge in violence, Bush said he assured the prime minister that the United States would transfer sovereignty to Iraqis on June 30, calling it a "solid date."

"We will have a successful transfer of power," Bush said.

8. <<screeches>> "Remain calm! ALL IS WELL!"
Bush must really think that we are a bunch of idiots. His parody of a white hat is wearing so thin that I, literally, can see right through him. Dare anyone say that the people of Falluja desire freedom from us?!?

9. Normal?
A third of the population has left Falluja. People trapped there have been cut off from the main hospital and cemetery. So the wounded, dying and dead are among those who remain.

Normal? Is living on top of your dead relatives, buried in the front yard, normal? Is living in a city strafed by AC-130 gunships normal? Damn! Texas must be one hell of a hazardous place to live.

7. Translation: Fallujah will be sacked
All civilian casualties will be described using the following terms: "Baathist elements", "thugs", "bandits", "terrorists", "dead-enders", "anti-American extremists", etc.

All US causalities will be underreported and obfuscated to the greatest extent possible.

No US media coverage of combat operations or aftermath allowed.

that is all...

10. Liar.
It's been eerie around LBN as it relates to Fallujah since this latest assault. There is NO news coming out, other than Pentagon press releases about how we are attacking the "insurgents". It should be lighting up LBN, but there is nothing to link to. Insurgents... Yes, I know there are "insurgents" (the sanitized name for resistance fighters), but there are also children and families and homes and mosques there. Bush is a typical pro-lifer that cares only about the white babies of american women... Cares nothing about the children he is having killed in Fallujah and Najaf. Life is returning to normal, he says??? WTF is normal now? Destroyed buildings, blocked hospitals, dead people buried in the soccer stadium??? Children missing limbs? Families torn apart? 11 year olds with guns? WTF is normal??

15. Contrast and compare Falluja today with Rumsfeld's "Message to
the People of Iraq" transcript from about one year ago.

17. Are we gonna get another "Mission Accomplished" banner?
The Chimp likes to wear these "Mission Accomplished" banners like they are boy scout badges....they'll have to do, since he doesn't have any combat medals.

Think of our poor soldiers who are beaten down tired, and the ones that DON'T WANT to be shooting at these innocent Iraqis. And, from all accounts, there are many such soldiers, at this point. How many of them will come home and commit suicide, haunted by the eyes of the innocents they've killed, and by the death scenes that will replay in their minds? How many will come home with such built-up rage at what they've seen that they'll snap and kill their families here at home?

Think of the Iraqi families who are living in absolute, minute-to-minute terror of what is happening....wondering when their next loved one will be turned into a bleeding pile of body parts. If only there were cameras filming this massacre, and the American people could see for themselves what this war really looks like.

This is pure hell right here on earth. And my government keeps sucking up my tax dollars to pay to do this. I can't stand it anymore!

:kick:

20. A word of reality to those complaining about Falluja.
Folks, all these complaints about what "our american government" is doing in Falluja and elsewhere in Iraq are just plain wrong.

This is NOT "our american government" anymore. It's a cabal of the military-industrial-legislature complex that has taken over. It took them years but they have been successful thru control of the media, among other things. It's now government of the corporation, by the corporation, and for the corporation. And we, the people, let it happen thru ignorance and propaganda.

I know there are those here who hate the 'nazi' comparison, but even a cursory look at the parallels between then and now will show the points of convergance. Sept 11, 2001 was our Reichstag fire. The next day George, our very own 'Adolph' stepped forward and promised to be our "Hero", protecting us from the evil people that 'hated us for our freedoms', just like their Adolph used scapegoats. When people are frightened they'll support anyone who promises safety.

In both cases they controlled the media, which repeated only the government line of lies. In both cases they controlled the legislature. In both cases they had an office of propaganda. In our case it's called the Office of Special Plans.

But enough comparisons. We could go on almost indefinately, but you get the idea by now.

I believe that our mental health demands that we realize once and for all, that this is no longer "our american government". Once you internalize that, everything falls into place.

If I were a religous person, I'd pray that we not be subject to the same retribution as germany after WWII. Because you can run, but you can't hide from Karma. It's the Great Equalizer.
