Trump Not Sure Debate Will Go Forward: "I Don't Know, I Have To Look Into It"
Source: Media Matters

This morning, reality TV host Donald Trump visited Imus in the Morning to plug his new book and discuss the wheels coming off the debate he is scheduled to host with Newsmax later this month.

During the interview, Trump indicated he wasn't sure if the debate would actually happen, lashed out at the candidates who have chosen not to attend the debate, complained about the "very unfair" rule that he can't host The Apprentice and run for president at the same time, managed to squeeze two plugs for the finale of The Apprentice (coming May 16!) into the conversation, and said that he has no plans to abandon a potential independent bid for president.

...snip...

When Imus asked whether the debate would continue with only Santorum and Gingrich attending, Trump responded, "I don't know. I have to look into it," adding: "They really want me to drop my status as a potential person to run as an independent, and, honestly, I don't think I'm going to do that. I'm not going to drop it."

Refusing to name names, Trump expressed disappointment that "some of them don't have the courage to do" the debate and claimed that "a couple of them called me and told me, 'Donald, I'm just too nervous to do it.'"

2. Trump is a desperate man
If he has to go on that dumbass show in order to salvage his self image he's wasting his time. It's only watched by about 37 people.

I welcome his entrance into the presidential race as an independent. It would be the final crushing blow to his fragile ego and maybe it would be the thing that made him STFU forever.

8. That's an unfortunate rhyme
Kinda precludes him from ever holding office I'd think. The only thing worse may be if his name was "Keach" or "McCall".

13. I don't think any of the candidates did that directly
But Ron Paul's and Jon Huntsman's turn down announcements pretty much said that. Once Mitt declined to go on the T Rump Debate, I figured it was pretty much doomed.

All that money and the guy is SUCH an IDIOT.

Another prime example of what is WRONG with America and the World today.

11. Been digging around looking at "Apprentice" ratings and reviews...
and just about every article is followed by comments overwhelmingly critical of the Bankrupt Bullshitter.

Celebrity Apprentice seems to have any following at all because of the trainwreck D-List "celebrities" who have enough desperation and low self respect to go on the show. Besides, what else is on on Sunday nights?

The bullshitter himself? No one watches for him, expect maybe to hope he lets it slip out that he needs the money after he blew his inheritance.

I think it should still go on. With only Gingrich and Huntsman there, it'll be a great way of knocking off the two of them (mostly because it's Newt, and because Huntsman=Gravel right now) and leaving only Romney and Paul to fight things out.

Ooops--found out even Huntsman backed out. So let's see if Gingrich and Donald can have a powwow together!

Santorum's a "yes" as well...although since nobody remembers anything he says or does, he could drop out without much notice.

As far as I'm concerned, Santorum is completely and totally irrelevant now, far more than when he was in Congress. He's still a fucking idiot no matter which way you look at it!!

17. I remeber when Gaddafi was here for UN summit
Trump bent over backwards to give him land for his tent in exchange for business deals. When media found out that Trump is providing the land he lied that he never knew Gaddafi lived there and kicked him out. That two faced liar.

21. Let's "look into" Trump's stumps on the Potomac River
Edited on Fri Dec-09-11 09:54 PM by wordpix
Just one little article I found:

"Donald Trump says he’s an environmentalist; others beg to differ"--WaPo

Call them Trump’s stumps.

Last spring and summer, workers at Trump National Golf Club in Loudoun County chopped down more than 400 trees along the Potomac River so their golfers could have a better view of the water.

Eight months later, the fate of the mile-long stretch of shoreline — where migratory birds once nested and bald eagles perched to fish — remains a source of conflict among the Trump Organization, local officials and environmentalists, who are dickering over how to stabilize the riverbank and what to do with the hundreds of stumps left behind.

“It’s kind of unbelievable,” said Mark Haynes, an Arlington energy consultant who sits on the board of the Potomac Conservancy. “They replaced the trees with a huge flagpole with the American flag flying up there. Which struck me as sad. It’s kind of in-your-face now.”...more
