Court decision may close (California's) oldest pot club
Source: San Francisco Chronicle

The founder of the state's oldest medical-marijuana dispensary plans to spend the weekend deciding whether to close her Fairfax facility after losing a motion to stop her eviction on Friday.

Despite a plea from Marin Alliance for Medical Marijuana attorneys, Marin County Superior Court Judge Roy Chernus refused to stop the eviction. He ruled that the dispensary's lease requires compliance with federal law, which forbids selling cannabis.

... Last month, the U.S. Attorney filed a federal drug-forfeiture complaint against Farshid Ezazi of Orinda, who owns the club's office, located behind the West Marin Little League baseball field. The feds also threatened to seize the building.

In response, Ezazi moved to evict the club. Club attorneys argued that a state judge had no right to enforce an eviction based upon a violation of federal law.

11. MMJ
I lived in Oregon until July of this year and the laws there were set up for the people to grow their own if they could.
Is it different in Cali.? Oregon you could give your card to a grower so I'm wondering if I missed something.
I know not everyone can grow but I think it's the collectives that's catching the heat and not the users.
Just sayin.....

2. Thanks for all your regressive policies Obama!
How far back in time do you want us to go? I'm guessing the 13th centrury would be about right for you and your idiotic sidekicks. What a clueless president we have been cursed with.

I'm beyond pissed at Obama and his fascist administration. I worked very hard on the successful Marin County medical cannabis initiative,
which even preceded CA 215. I was also in a 5 year relationship with Lynette Shaw, the woman in the article, who operates the Marin Alliance, and is about to be shut down by Obama's thugs.

Hey, Obama! You can take my vote and stick it up your ass!

Around the table where another friend of mine had a petition up to help the MM growers here in Lake County.

I knew Lynette personally, and she has spent years (if not decades) of her life to see to it that people with cancer, with MS, paraplegics and quads who have tremendously debilitating muscle spasms would be able to someday be allowed to have MM. And the public voted in the Prop 215, and the public was heard by our local governments. And now the Constitutional Scholar (supposed) who resides in the White House is ignoring states' rights, just as he ignored the tremendous need to imprison the Cheney/Bush?Rove people for their war crimes, and maybe that is because he will be just as eager to be criminal tin the Iran War we are about to see launched?!?

But the Administration currently in power cares only about their Big Money Buddies, known as Big Pharma. Which is why the "affordable HC" bill was a total sham, as it protected those people.

If there is no other front runner - if we don't have an LBJ moment from obama come next March, where the current puppet realizes that he has no popularity - that he took the good intentions of so many many millions of us, but now we are out in the cold, standing in the streets doing the Occupy dance, then I am not sure I will remain a Democrat! Unless I hear that this puppet resigns, I will no longer be a Democrat. I remained in the party for as long as I have, as the memory of FDR, of Jack, Bobby and Martin has been important to me.

But this sham of an Administration, which has spent over the last twelve months

While letting his criminal arch buddy the good Tim Geithner deprive the states that have terrible budget deficits of any relief while bleeding us little businesses dry for the benefit of his F____ Bastard Friends on Wall Street, and then coming after the MM clinics and their personnel, and throwing the growers out of work -- that is just too much for me to bear.

I look around the Main Streets of the towns I am close to, and the only thriving businesses left after the last five years of terrible policies are the MM clinics. Fuck you to hell you Rat Bastards.

Fuck! Fuckl Fucki!

5. But don't you know, Obama only does good things
and besides, he's black and a Harvard law professor and and, then there is the 'LIST'.

He's bought and sold. His new slogan is a joke, just like him. And, any one who can't see that, isn't hurting enough.

6. Where are all the Obama supporters,?
Funny how they fail to show up in threads like these. They seem completely delusional to me, like tea-baggers. Unable to see the truth of what the person that they support actually stands for.

Obama - best Trojan Horse ever.

8. Obamas Judges fall inline
Edited on Sat Dec-03-11 10:41 AM by DreamSmoker
I have followed this Invasion by the Feds closely..
Not only did the Feds conspire with Local and State Official in secret..
All Federal Judges are now falling inline and all rule against any case that is MMJ related..
This after a rash of California Court cases that ruled in favor of Patients...

This was a deliberate move by the Feds to squash the MMJ movement that has gained so much momentum..

It also is totally opposite of president Obamas promise..
It is a blatant attack on MMJ and the Patients access..
Bottom line is this was Political and not righteous at all...

Today even more Americans are being prosecuted by this Government and its bad Policies..
This Government never ever admits its wrong.. It just doubles down instead..
Just look through this Countries History...

You want justice in America Folks????
Think of it this way..
Not one person has been prosecuted for sending the Americas economy down the toilet..
Not one person for all those lost Businesses or for the losses of all the retirements people carefully saved for..

But buy God send DEA into California and go after MMJ even if it violates Obamas promises is priority one...

9. All the dispensarires in my neighborhood are closed now
More jobs gone, more empty buildings, fewer local businesses, and less money circulating in the community. Nice work, Mr Obama, you have turned me and most of the people I know into single-issue non-voters. At least a Gingrich administration will be fun to watch.
