Dane Reported Missing in Iraq Found Dead

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - A Danish man, who had been missing in Iraq for more than a week and who was believed to have been abducted, has been found dead, the Foreign Ministry said Wednesday.

The ministry said it was notified about the missing Dane late Tuesday night by the U.S.-led Coalition Provisional Authority.

The missing man was said to have been in his 30s but has not been otherwise identified. He as found dead on April 12 by Iraqi police, the ministry said it was told.

The tabloid Ekstra Bladet newspaper said the man was Henrik Frandsen, a 35-year-old plumber from Copenhagen. He became the second Dane to die in Iraq.
