Jordan's Snub to Bush Is Tip of Iceberg
http://www.reuters.com/newsArticle.jhtml?type=politicsNews&storyID=4880249

By Jonathan Wright
CAIRO (Reuters) - When the king of Jordan postponed this week's meeting with President Bush, the snub revealed only a fraction of the humiliation felt by Washington's Arab friends.

Constrained by protocol and unwilling to burn bridges with the most powerful country in the world, Arab leaders like King Abdullah can only hint at the dismay they felt when Bush changed U.S. policy last week, diplomats and analysts say.

The blow was particularly hard for Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who met Bush on April 12 and was still in the United States two days later when Bush gave two key and sensitive concessions to visiting Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon...

1. Chalabi is a convicted bank swindler in Jordan ...
... and he's a Bushie.

That's just one more reason.

Didn't see anything in the article.

6. There will only be positive fallout for Shrub. It's win/win.
IMO, most Americans don't give a rat's ass about the Palestinians or Jordanians. A sizable minority (fundies, certain short-sighted Jewish interests) do favor anything we do that is perceived as in Israel's interest.

10. I just keep repeating to myself that, "it's just a game, it's just a game"
"it's just that game of politics being played",...otherwise, I would feel more than sick. I have said repeatedly that, for the best interests of the American people, that game must change. But, it will never change unless a relative progessive wins the game in place. And, this time, when that progressive wins,...there will be no excuse to relax if change is to be put into action.

12. Yes, I know what 'ya mean. I been thinking about backing
off all news and news of the political nature. Because like you said, "it's all just a game" - and indeed it 'tis not healthy to follow all the ups and downs of the world, on a daily basic. I can't indeed change anything, other than to vote.

11. & me too,
Kerry's position on this is at least one of those bitter pills.

For me it is a weight dropped on the wrong side of my balance...I hope he remains faithful to other beliefs so the balance of my vote doesn't tip.

3. Why do the Repugs doubt that most leaders want Kerry
Kerry's statement was dumb but accurate. Most world leaders want Bush out and a rationale person in the White House.
