Us Troubled By Rising Anti-Americanism In Egypt
Source: ASSOCIATED PRESS

The Obama administration is expressing concern about what it says is a tide of anti-Americanism in Egypt.

The State Department says criticism of U.S. aid and motives as the country transitions to democracy are inaccurate and unfair.

The State Department has raised the matter with Egyptian officials. Spokeswoman Victoria Nuland called personal attacks on the U.S. ambassador to Egypt "unacceptable."

Nuland says Washington firmly supports Egypt's democratic transition and will continue to. The administration has been surprised by a rise in anti-American sentiment in the Mideast.

2. "The administration has been surprised by a rise in anti-American sentiment in the Mideast."
Do these people get out at all? Turn on a TV? Talk to another human being during the course of a day?

What reality exists over at the White House that they don't get that murdering civilians is going to result in blowback?

8. There are symptoms in psychology that explain this surprise.
The behavior of people who are mostly character disordered (CD), will cause normal people a lot grief.

And when normal people respond negatively towards the CD person, the CD person acts surprised, because they expect their victims to act like nothing ever happened.

It's a lack of conscience which makes it difficult, if not imposable, to understand how their victims feel.

They can rape your sister, and murder your brother one day, and the next day they would expect you to be their best friend.

It's with in this context, this "acting surprised", is also a symptom of a character disorder.

There is a long list of countries that have been victimized by American political and corporate white collar snakes in suites, (aka psychopaths, sociopaths, narcissist etc.).

They come with invading hoards of usurpers, fleecing the defenseless peasants along with their resources, while spreading death, destruction and puppet tyrannies, all in the name of "Democracy".

The fact that our political leaders act surprised by this hatred towards America, is one symptom, amongst many other symptoms, which indicate our country has been taken over by people who are mostly character disordered.

3. Well, why don't we ask?
Just ask them. Poll them or something. Anyone that listens to the people that really know these parts of the world will tell them. They don't want to know anyway, because the USA does what IT WANTS TO DO! USA! #1. :sarcasm:

6. A general from the "Supreme Council" and a Muslim Brotherhood representative are
the only ones quoted in the story as complaining about the US. In the first case, that's probably a good thing if the generals are complaining. Neither is it too surprising that the Muslim Brotherhood would complain about any funding for "pro-democracy groups" if that does not include them.

"U.S. officials said Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton raised the matter with Egypt's new intelligence chief, Maj. Gen. Murad Muwafi, in a July 28 meeting in Washington. However, the trend has continued with some accusing Washington of interference and fanning instability since the ouster earlier this year of authoritarian President Hosni Mubarak, a longtime U.S. ally.

During a July visit to Washington, Maj. Gen. Mohammed al-Assar, a member of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces, criticized the United States for funding pro-democracy groups away from Egyptian government supervision.

At a conference hosted by the U.S. Institute of Peace, al-Assar said that some countries including the United States have violated the Egyptian laws in their funding Egyptian NGOs and said that Egyptians were opposed to "foreign interference," according to a statement by USIP posted on its website. He added, "It is a matter of sovereignty."'
