N.J. hedge fund leaders create group to financially back education reforms supported by Gov. Christi

TRENTON — A new political action group started by two New Jersey hedge-fund financiers aims to put money — a lot of money — behind an education reform agenda shared by Gov. Chirs Christie and reviled by the state’s largest teachers union.

Formed in March, Better Education for Kids promotes teacher evaluations based on student test scores and tenure that is harder to get and harder to keep, issues the New Jersey Education Association has been spending millions to battle against.

...snip...

Better Education for Kids is entering the fray as private organizations are poised to play a larger role in education in New Jersey. Christie wants more charter schools, and he’s pushing legislation that would allow private companies to take over struggling public schools.

...snip...

Though the group cannot formally coordinate its work with lawmakers, it will be advised by two of the state’s top political consultants: Mike DuHaime, a Republican strategist with close ties to Christie, and Jaime Fox, a Democrat who served as former Gov. James E. McGreevey’s chief of staff.

DuHaime and Fox declined to comment.

Another example of the anything goes tactics used by Republican governors in a concerted effort to destroy public education in America and hand public education tax dollars to their connected rich friends.

1. So these hedge fund leaders pay 15% on billions of dollars
of profit so they then can use that money to destroy the education system
Something is really wrong with this country

3. And even at that ridiculously low tax rate they aren't satisfied
They want public education tax dollars going into the pockets of rich, connected charter school operators who will hand pick the students they'll accept and leave any and all "problem" students for what's left of they public school system that they and their political accomplices will have destroyed.

4. It's a hostile corporate takeover of the public education system
Aided and abetted by Republican governors and now their rich hedge fund friends with the illegal aid of those politicians' top political advisers.

6. Also in the news, a consortium of level 3 child molesters forms a parent training group...
Why would anyone in their right mind think a hedge-fund manager would have anything more coherent to say about education than a fry cook? And for that matter, aren't hedge funds close enough to criminally inappropriate to disqualify their opinion about financial matters as well?
