MADISON (WKOW) -- A Dane County judge ruled Wednesday night that the Dane County district attorney has the right to sue state lawmakers for allegedly violating the state's open meetings law.

The state Department of Administration had asked the judge to throw out the complaint, arguing the district attorney doesn't have jurisdiction.

But, Judge Maryann Sumi released a 48 page ruling Wednesday night dismissing the DOA request.
